Checked October 26, 2026. Prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page. Prices change: re-check before you buy. Dooza Crew is our product and our top pick; we say why, and where the others fit better. Only a few pest control tools have AI today, so this list mixes AI in field-service software, AI phone answering and meeting notes.
Best AI tools for pest control companies: the short answer
Our top pick for a small pest control company is Dooza Crew: AI employees that answer calls, draft renewal and reminder emails and chase the admin your technicians have no time for, $49 a month for the whole organization, and they ask before they send anything. If you want AI inside your route software, look at GorillaDesk. If you only need a phone line, compare Rosie, Goodcall and Dialzara.
What we could not find on pest control AI adoption
We looked for a recent survey of pest control operators on AI use from a trade body or other primary source and could not confirm an exact figure we could quote, so we are not quoting any percentage. What we can say comes from vendor pages, which are claims, not results. GorillaDesk describes itself as "The all-in-one, AI-powered operating system for field service businesses." ServiceTitan says inbound inquiries get answered "even outside a branch's hours with voice agents that are on the clock 24/7".
The practical problem is simple: your technicians are in crawl spaces and on roofs, so the phone goes unanswered. A missed call from a homeowner who just saw a wasp nest usually becomes the next company's job. That is why most tools below start with the phone, then move to follow-ups and paperwork.

1. Dooza Crew (our product, top pick): AI employees for the office
A small pest control company loses jobs in the gaps: the phone rings while the tech is under a house, renewal reminders slip, service follow-ups wait for a quiet week. Crew gives your company AI employees, each with its own computer and browser and its own job. They work around the clock, work with your team in one chat, and pass work to each other. Before one sends an email or clicks Send, Submit or Pay, it asks you to Approve, Edit or Reject.
Example jobs you could give it: you could give one agent the job of answering the phone and taking a message for every new-customer or service enquiry; another the job of drafting a renewal-reminder email to customers whose quarterly plan is coming up, for you to approve; another the job of filling a fillable PDF or Word service agreement or inspection form you upload; another the job of drafting replies to online reviews for you to edit. Crew works in web-based tools you log in to with a browser, and you type passwords and 2FA codes yourself.
- Forms: it fills fillable PDF, Word and Excel files you upload. Scanned PDFs without form fields cannot be filled.
- Phones: Crew agents take phone calls too, included in the plan.
- Price: free for 7 days (card required), then $49 a month for the whole organization (unlimited users and agents), AI usage included with a hard spending cap. At the cap it pauses and tells you.
- Watch for: no pest control software (such as GorillaDesk, PestPac or FieldRoutes) is certified or integrated with it, so it does not sync with your field-service system; it works only in web tools you log in to. It is not a licensed applicator and treatment decisions stay with you.

2. GorillaDesk: pest control software with built-in AI agents
GorillaDesk is route-based software for pest control, lawn, cleaning and pool companies. Its AI agents page says: "GorillaDesk's AI receptionist covers every customer channel – phone, SMS, web chat, and the client portal – to answer questions, capture leads, book jobs, and automate repetitive work." The Basic plan also lists "Material Tracking & Reporting" for chemical use records.
- Price: software for one route is $49 a month on Basic, $99 on Pro and $149 on Growth (the page shows each number split from its dollar sign). Extra routes cost more, and "Unlimited admin, manager, sales & crew users" are included. We found no price for the AI agents.
- Free trial: the page offers a free trial but does not state its length.
- Watch for: it is a whole system, so using the AI means running your business on GorillaDesk, and the AI price is a question to ask before you sign.
3. Housecall Pro: home-service software with CSR AI
Housecall Pro is general home-service software that many small pest companies use. Its page describes CSR AI this way: "AI answers every call and chat, day or night", and its menu lists an AI Team for "Custom AI support 24/7".
- Price: billed annually, Basic is $59 a month (1 user), Essentials $149 and Max $299 (8 users, $35 a month per additional user). Billed monthly the same plans are $79, $189 and $329. We found no separate price for CSR AI, and the page does not make clear whether it is included.
- Free trial: "Try 14 days free. No credit card required. Cancel anytime."
- Watch for: not pest-specific, and the AI cost is not shown.
4. ServiceTitan: enterprise-style software with AI voice agents
ServiceTitan has a pest control software page that mentions voice agents and lists Atlas, Titan Intelligence and an AI Virtual Agent, without describing them. On price it says "most vendors quote rather than publish a list price."
- Price: not published (contact sales). It describes pricing as per-technician.
- Free trial: none stated; it offers a demo.
- Watch for: likely built for larger operations, with no public price to compare.
5. Rosie: an AI receptionist for small businesses
Rosie is a general AI answering service, not pest-specific. Its Professional plan is "24/7 AI answering service that knows your business." It takes messages and sends appointment links by text.
- Price: Professional $49 a month (250 minutes), Scale $149 (and it can "Book appointments directly on your calendar"), Growth $299.
- Free trial: 7 days.
- Watch for: direct calendar booking starts on the Scale plan, and it is not tied to your pest software.
6. Goodcall: AI phone answering with a free demo agent
Goodcall builds an AI agent for your business line. Its pricing page says "Start free with a demo agent. Add a number when you're ready."
- Price: Starter $79 a month (100 unique customers a month, then 79¢ each), Growth $129 and Scale $299 a month. It says "We never meter minutes."
- Free trial: a free demo agent; you pay when you connect a number.
- Watch for: billing is per unique caller, which adds up in a busy season, and it is not connected to your pest software.
7. Dialzara: the cheapest AI phone plan we found
Dialzara's page says "AI receptionist plans from $29/month", with extra features priced separately.
- Price: Business Lite $29 a month for up to 60 minutes of talk time (overage $0.48 a minute); Business Pro $99 a month for 220 minutes (overage $0.45 a minute).
- Free trial: "7-day free trial".
- Watch for: billing is by the minute, and the Lite plan has no warm transfer to your team.
8. Smith.ai: call answering with real people
Smith.ai sells "Professional call answering by real people" around the clock.
9. Otter: AI notes for the meetings you do hold
Otter records and transcribes online meetings. Its free Basic plan includes "Live transcription" and "300 monthly transcription minutes". Useful for a weekly route or safety meeting held on Zoom, Teams or Meet, or a commercial-account review call.
- Price: Basic is free; Pro is $16.99 a month per user, or $8.33 a month per user billed annually (the page splits each number from its dollar sign).
- Free trial: the free Basic plan.
- Watch for: Basic is capped at 300 minutes a month and 3 lifetime file imports, and it works on online meetings, not conversations on a customer's doorstep.
PestPac and FieldRoutes: popular software, no AI found
PestPac (WorkWave) and FieldRoutes are widely used by larger pest companies. On the pages we read we did not confirm an AI feature or a public price for either; FieldRoutes lists Intelligent Routing and a Dynamic Scheduler on its home page. If you run one of them, the phone tools above sit beside it rather than in it, and Dooza Crew does not integrate with either.
Free AI tools and trials for pest control companies
- AI phone line: Goodcall's free demo agent, until you connect a number.
- Meeting notes: Otter's free Basic plan.
- Trials: Housecall Pro 14 days (no card), Rosie and Dialzara 7 days each, Dooza Crew 7 days (card required), GorillaDesk a free trial with no length stated.
- Money-back: Smith.ai's 30-day guarantee.
How to choose an AI tool for your pest control company
- Start with the missed call. Count the calls you miss in a week while technicians are on jobs. If it is more than a few, start with an AI phone line.
- Check your software first. If you run PestPac, FieldRoutes or GorillaDesk, the phone tools and Dooza Crew do not integrate with it: they take a message or a booking request and you enter it, or an agent works inside a browser tool you log in to.
- Compare the billing unit. Dialzara bills by minutes, Goodcall by unique caller, Smith.ai by call; Dooza Crew is a flat monthly price for the whole organization.
- Decide what the AI may promise. Treatment plans, product choices and quotes stay with your licensed technicians. Set the AI to take a message instead of advising.
- Keep sign-off human. Pick tools that ask before they send an email or take a payment.
- Test on one workflow for a couple of weeks before you route every call through a bot, and listen to the recordings.
