Checked October 26, 2026. Prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page. Advyzon does not publish a price and we say so. Prices change: re-check before you buy. Dooza Crew is our product and our top pick for small advisory practices; we say why, and where the others fit better. Nothing here is investment, legal or compliance advice.

Best AI tools for financial advisors: the short answer

Our top pick for a small advisory practice is Dooza Crew: AI employees for the admin around your client work, $49 a month for the whole organization, and it asks before it sends anything. For advisor-specific meeting notes, look at Jump or Zocks. For an AI-enabled CRM, Wealthbox or Redtail. For planning software with an AI agent, RightCapital. For cheap call notes, Fathom and Otter both have free plans.

How many financial advisors use AI in 2026

Advisor360's January 2026 survey of "300 U.S.-based financial advisors at registered investment advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, and banks" found that "Seventy-four percent say AI already helps their practice". The same survey is careful about where: "Only 14% of advisors currently use AI to help identify investment opportunities", and "93% say retaining control over decisions and advice when using AI tools is non-negotiable."

Advisor360 sells wealth-management technology, so it surveyed its own corner of the market. Still, the pattern is clear and fits what the tools below do: AI is used to take notes, prepare for meetings and cut admin, while advice stays with the advisor.

The tools, one by one

1. Dooza Crew (our product, top pick): AI employees for the practice's admin

Crew gives a small advisory practice AI employees for the jobs that sit around the client work. Each one has its own computer and browser, its own job, and works around the clock. They work with your team in one chat and pass work to each other. Before it sends an email or clicks Send, Submit or Pay, it asks you to Approve, Edit or Reject.

  • Example jobs you could give it: you could give one agent the job of watching your inbox for new-client paperwork and drafting a polite reminder for each missing item; another the job of filling the fillable PDF, Word or Excel forms you upload; another the job of answering the phone and taking a message or booking a call. You review each draft before it goes.
  • Forms: it fills fillable PDF, Word and Excel files you upload. Scanned PDFs without form fields cannot be filled. You type passwords and 2FA codes yourself.
  • Phones: Crew agents take phone calls too, included in the plan.
  • Price: free for 7 days (card required), then $49 a month for the whole organization (unlimited users and agents), AI usage included with a hard spending cap. At the cap it pauses and tells you.
  • Watch for: no financial advisory software (CRM, planning or custodian platform) is certified or integrated with it, so it does not sync with your CRM or custodian; it works only in web tools you log in to. It is not a registered investment adviser or a licensed advisor: advice, suitability and your compliance and recordkeeping duties stay with you.

2. Jump: AI built for advisor meetings

Jump's Meet product is "AI-enhanced meeting prep, notes, follow-ups and assistant capabilities to save you time." It lists an AI notetaker, unlimited meetings, follow-up tasks and emails, and "Sync to CRM or financial planning tools". Add-ons cover client onboarding (Onboard) and meeting analytics (Grow).

3. Zocks: notes without recordings

Zocks sells itself as a way to "Capture notes without recordings & free up time to focus on clients". Essentials lists AI note-taking, CRM, financial planning, portfolio management and tax planning integrations, and unlimited meetings. Professional adds automatic form filling. Its FAQ says it is "SOC 2 Type II certified".

4. Wealthbox: a CRM with an AI Notetaker add-on

Wealthbox is a CRM for advisors. Its AI Notetaker gives you "Meeting prep, notes, and follow-ups, drafted automatically."

  • Price: Basic $59, Pro $75 and Premier $99 per user per month; Enterprise is custom. The AI Notetaker add-on is "special introductory rate: $49 per user / month."
  • Free trial: the page header reads "Free 14-Day Trial".
  • Watch for: the notetaker is a paid add-on on every plan, and the page does not say which plans include the AI Assistant. (We could read this page only through a fetch tool, so re-check the prices live.)

5. Redtail: CRM with new AI features

Redtail's September 2026 blog says its new AI features, "powered by Denali, are five tools built right into the CRM you already use." Review Prep summarizes client history, Workflow Builder builds a workflow from a prompt, and Smart Search finds contacts you describe in plain words.

  • Price (per user per month, billed yearly): Launch $39 (maximum of 5 users) and Growth $59 (unlimited users); monthly billing is $45 and $65. Enterprise is "Let's Talk".
  • Free trial: "Free trial is of the full Redtail Growth Plan and is for new users only." No length is stated.
  • Watch for: the pricing page does not say whether the AI features cost extra or which plan includes them. Ask before you buy.

6. RightCapital: planning software with an AI agent

RightCapital's Premium plan lists the "Iris™ AI planning agent", which the pricing page ties to Double Check, Cash Flow Reviews, Plan Builder and Find Opportunities. Smart Import is described as "AI to revolutionize data entry".

7. Advyzon: a single platform with AI built in

Advyzon says it is "one platform that does the work of many, with advisor-trained AI embedded into the way your firm already operates." Its Advyzon AI page says it can "Automate meeting prep, follow-ups, reporting, document retrieval, and operational handoffs."

  • Price: not published (contact sales). The pricing page returns 404 and the site only offers "Contact Us".
  • Free trial: not stated.
  • Watch for: it is a whole-platform decision, not an add-on, and without a published price you cannot compare it until you talk to sales.

8. Fathom: free AI notes for client calls

Fathom's free plan has "Unlimited recordings, instant call summaries, integrations with LLMs & more." Premium adds AI action items, and the Business plan adds CRM field sync.

  • Price: Free forever; Premium $20/mo per user ($16/mo billed annually); Team $19/mo per user ($15/mo annually, 2-user minimum); Business $34/mo per user ($25/mo annually) (Fathom pricing).
  • Watch for: it is a general tool: nothing on the page is built for advisors, and CRM field sync is on Business only. Check how your firm archives client conversations before you record them.

9. Otter.ai: meeting notes with a free plan

Otter's free Basic plan includes "AI Chat within and across meetings" and works with Zoom, MS Teams and Google Meet. Pro adds advanced AI workflows and Salesforce, HubSpot and Zapier integrations.

  • Price: Basic free; Pro $16.99/user/month monthly or $8.49 billed annually; Business $30 monthly or $24 annually per user per month; Enterprise through a demo (Otter pricing).
  • Watch for: Basic is limited to 300 monthly transcription minutes and 3 lifetime file imports, and no advisor CRM is listed among its integrations.

10. Smith.ai: call answering and client intake

Smith.ai offers "Professional call answering by real people" around the clock, with lead screening, qualification and intake. It is not advisor-specific.

  • Price: Starter $300/month for 30 calls; Basic $810/month for 90 calls; Pro $2,100/month for 300 calls; $11.50 per call over 30 on Starter; Enterprise on request (Smith.ai pricing).
  • Free trial: none; the page says all plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  • Watch for: it is priced per call, and the page describes real people answering, not an AI agent. Decide what an outside answering service may be told about your clients.

Free AI tools and trials for financial advisors

  • Call notes: Fathom's free forever plan; Otter's free Basic plan (300 monthly transcription minutes).
  • Trials: Zocks 14 days (credit card required), Wealthbox 14 days, RightCapital 14 days, Jump Meet (length not stated), Dooza Crew 7 days (card required).

How to choose an AI tool for your practice

  1. Start with the hours. Is it meeting notes and follow-ups, client onboarding paperwork, CRM upkeep, planning analysis or the phones?
  2. Check where the output has to land. Jump and Zocks list CRM and planning-software links; the general notetakers do not. If your CRM is Wealthbox or Redtail, compare their built-in AI first.
  3. Do the math per user. Zocks, Wealthbox, Redtail and Jump charge per user or advisor; Dooza Crew charges per organization.
  4. Keep advice human. In Advisor360's survey, 93% called control over decisions and advice non-negotiable. Pick tools that ask before they send, and keep suitability, advice, compliance review and recordkeeping with you.
  5. Ask about records. Before any tool records or summarizes a client conversation, check with your compliance lead how that output must be stored.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best AI tool for financial advisors?

For a small practice, our top pick is Dooza Crew (our product): AI employees for the admin around your client work, such as chasing missing documents and drafting follow-up emails, each with its own computer and browser, for $49 a month for the whole organization after a 7-day free trial. It asks you to approve before it sends anything. For advisor-specific meeting notes, look at Jump or Zocks; for an AI-enabled CRM, Wealthbox or Redtail; for planning software with an AI agent, RightCapital.

How many financial advisors use AI?

In a January 2026 Advisor360 survey of 300 U.S. advisors, 74% said AI already helps their practice, but only 14% use it to help identify investment opportunities. Advisor360 is a wealth-tech vendor, so treat it as one data point. Use is mostly admin work, not investment decisions.

What is the best AI meeting notetaker for financial advisors?

Advisor-specific options are Jump (Meet, $100 per advisor per month as displayed) and Zocks (Essentials from $67 per user per month billed annually, notes captured without recordings). General notetakers are cheaper: Fathom has a free forever plan and Otter has a free Basic plan. The general tools do not list advisor CRM or planning-software links on their pricing pages, so check how notes reach your CRM.

Can AI give investment advice to my clients?

It should not do so on its own. In the Advisor360 survey, 93% of advisors said retaining control over decisions and advice when using AI tools is non-negotiable. None of the tools here replace your advice, your suitability review or your compliance and recordkeeping duties, and Dooza Crew is not a registered investment adviser or a licensed advisor.

Is there a free AI tool for financial advisors?

Fathom has a free forever plan for call notes and Otter has a free Basic plan (300 monthly transcription minutes). Trials: Zocks 14 days (credit card required), Wealthbox 14 days, RightCapital 14 days, Jump lets you try Meet for free (length not stated), and Dooza Crew 7 days (card required).

Can Dooza Crew connect to my CRM or custodian?

No. No CRM, planning or custodian software is certified or integrated with Dooza Crew, so it does not sync with them. It works in web-based tools you log in to with a browser, and you type passwords and 2FA codes yourself. Try it on your own tools during the 7-day trial before relying on it.

Try Dooza Crew

A lead AI agent plus helper agents that browse the web, write files and ask you before they send or pay. 7-day free trial (card required), then $49/month with AI usage included and a hard spending cap.
