Checked October 26, 2026. Prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page. Pool Brain's full plan price is calculated by a slider we could not read, so we quote only what the page text shows. Prices change: re-check before you buy. Dooza Crew is our product and our top pick for the office side of a small pool company; we say why, and where the pool software fits better.

Best AI tools for pool service companies: the short answer

Our top pick for the office side of a small pool company is Dooza Crew: AI employees for the jobs nobody has time for, such as supplier price checks, hiring techs and filling forms, $49 a month for the whole organization, and it asks before it sends anything. If you want pool route software with AI, Skimmer starts at $49 a month with an AI Phone add-on at $99 a month, Pool Office Manager is $125 a month for the first user, and Pool Brain shows $65 per tech. For answering calls, Rosie starts at $49 a month, Goodcall at $79, Smith.ai has a free plan and Dialzara starts at $29 a month.

Who this list is for

This list is for owner-operated pool service companies, from one truck to roughly ten, where the owner is also on the route, answering the phone and doing the invoices at night. Owners are wary of handing money work to AI. Skimmer's 2026 State of Pool Service Report, quoted by Skimmer, says "Forty percent of owners say they'd never trust AI to fully handle invoicing and payments." (Skimmer sells pool software, and the article does not give the sample size.)

A small pool company has a phone that rings while the tech is under a pump lid, a route that changes with the weather, customer texts about green water, and chemical, parts and supplier orders that wait until night. We found no pool-specific AI product outside the software vendors, so the tools below fall into three groups: pool software with AI or a related feature, AI that answers the phone, and AI that does office work in your browser. Of the three pool software vendors, only Skimmer names an AI product on the pages we read.

The tools, one by one

1. Dooza Crew (our product, top pick): AI employees for the company's office work

Crew gives a pool service company AI employees, each with its own computer and browser and its own job. They work around the clock, work with your team in one chat, and pass work to each other. They work in the web-based tools you log in to with a browser, and Crew agents take phone calls too, included in the plan. Before an agent sends an email or clicks Send, Submit or Pay, it asks you to Approve, Edit or Reject.

Some jobs you could give it:

  • Supplies: you could give one agent the job of checking prices for chlorine, filters and pump parts on your supplier websites and building the order, then waiting for you to approve before it clicks Pay.
  • Hiring: you could give one agent the job of posting your pool tech opening on job sites, sorting the replies and drafting answers to applicants for you to approve.
  • Forms: you could give one agent the job of filling the fillable PDF, Word and Excel forms you upload, such as a vendor application or a licence renewal. Scanned PDFs without form fields cannot be filled. You type passwords and 2FA codes yourself.
  • Reviews and email: you could give one agent the job of drafting replies to online reviews and routine supplier email for you to approve.
  • Price: free for 7 days (card required), then $49 a month for the whole organization (unlimited users and agents), AI usage included with a hard spending cap. At the cap it pauses and tells you.
  • Watch for: it does not test water or dose chemicals; safety and chemical decisions stay with the tech. No pool software (Skimmer, Pool Brain, Pool Office Manager, Jobber) is certified or integrated with it, so it does not sync with your pool software; it works only in web tools you log in to. Test yours during the trial.

2. Skimmer: pool software with an AI Phone add-on

Skimmer covers route building, invoicing and online payments, and service reports. Its AI Phone page says "Pool specific AI. Trained on real pool calls, language, and customer questions, not generic call data." It also says "Urgent calls get routed to you. Routine calls get handled."

3. Pool Brain: pool software with a per-tech price

Pool Brain's pricing page says "No hidden costs. Built by industry experts." and lists unlimited office users. We found no AI product named on the page.

  • Price: the page text shows "($65 per tech)". The plan total is calculated by a slider and was not in the text we could read, so check the live page for the base figure.
  • Trial: the page offers "START FREE TRIAL" and describes a "free trial and setup and no hidden costs."
  • Watch for: the full price is not visible without the slider, and no AI feature is named.

4. Pool Office Manager: simple per-user pricing

Pool Office Manager covers scheduling and dispatch, invoicing and water chemistry tracking. Its chemistry feature includes "Built-in saturation index (LSI) and dosing suggestions computed from the actual gallons of each body of water." That is a calculation in the software, and the page does not call it AI.

5. Jobber: field service software with an AI Receptionist add-on

Jobber is built for small service businesses and is not pool-specific, so it has no water chemistry tracking. Its pricing page offers an add-on called "Jobber AI Receptionist" described as "Never leave a call or text unanswered again."

  • Price: Core is $21 a month for 12 months, then $29 a month; Connect is $70 a month for 12 months, then $99 a month; Grow is $105 a month for 12 months, then $149 a month; all billed annually for one user (Jobber pricing). The AI Receptionist add-on is $29 a month. The page showed a banner "Offer ends October 30th".
  • Trial: "Try Jobber for free now. Pick a plan later." with "No credit card required".
  • Watch for: the low first-year prices are a promotion that ends, plans are per user, and the AI Receptionist is an extra $29 a month on top.

6. Smith.ai AI Receptionist: a free plan to start

Smith.ai's AI Receptionist offers 24/7 AI call answering with recording, transcription and summaries, call routing and AI scheduling with Calendly and similar tools.

  • Price: Free $0 a month for 25 calls ($3.00 per call after that); Pro $150 a month ($2.00 per call); Enterprise $500 a month ($1.67 per call) (Smith.ai AI Receptionist pricing).
  • Free plan: "Try it and trust it first."
  • Watch for: a general small-business tool; no pool software is named, so it will not know your routes.

7. Rosie: a low-cost AI answering service

Rosie is a "24/7 AI answering service that knows your business." It answers calls, books appointments and captures leads.

  • Price: Professional $49 per month; Scale $149 per month; Growth $299 per month (Rosie pricing).
  • Trial: "Start your 7-day free trial."
  • Watch for: plans are tiered by volume, and it connects to other software through Zapier rather than named pool software.

8. Goodcall: pay per caller, not per minute

Goodcall bills by unique customer: "We never meter minutes."

  • Price: Starter $79 a month (100 unique customers); Growth $129 a month (500 unique customers); Scale $299 a month (2,000 unique customers) (Goodcall pricing).
  • Trial: "Start free with a demo agent."
  • Watch for: a spring-opening rush of new callers can pass your plan's customer count.

9. Dialzara: a low-cost AI receptionist

Dialzara answers calls, takes messages with custom questions and transfers calls, with add-ons for outbound calls, SMS and website chat.

  • Price: Business Lite $29/month for up to 60 minutes ($0.48/min over); Business Pro $99/month for 220 minutes; Business Plus $199/month for 500 minutes; Business Elite $349/month for 1000 minutes (Dialzara pricing).
  • Free trial: "7-day free trial", no contract, cancel anytime.
  • Watch for: you pay by talk minutes, so a busy opening season adds up, and no pool software is named.

Free AI tools and trials for pool service

  • Free plan: Smith.ai AI Receptionist, 25 calls a month for $0.
  • Trials: Pool Office Manager 30 days (card at signup), Skimmer Scaling Up 1 month, Jobber free trial (no card), Rosie 7 days, Dialzara 7 days, Dooza Crew 7 days (card required), Pool Brain a free trial, Goodcall a free demo agent.

Trust and checking the work

A phone agent that promises a visit time you cannot keep, or gives chemical advice, costs more than a missed call. Before you route your main line to any AI, run test calls, including a green pool, a pump that will not prime and an angry customer, listen to the recordings, and decide what it may never say, such as a firm price, an arrival time or a chemical dose. Water testing and dosing stay with the tech. With Dooza Crew, agents ask you to Approve, Edit or Reject before they send an email or click Send, Submit or Pay, which keeps you the last stop on anything that leaves the building.

How to choose an AI tool for your pool company

  1. Start with the job that costs you most. Missed calls on the route, after-hours coverage, supply ordering, hiring, or the paperwork that piles up at night.
  2. Check your pool software first. If you already run Skimmer, Pool Brain or Pool Office Manager, see what AI it offers before you add another tool.
  3. Do the math your way. Skimmer prices by serviced location, Pool Office Manager and Jobber by user, Pool Brain by tech, Rosie and Dialzara by tier or minutes, Goodcall by unique caller, Dooza Crew as one price for the organization.
  4. Keep yourself in charge. AI can answer, draft and fill forms; water testing, chemical dosing and safety calls stay with the tech.
  5. Test before you switch. Use the free plan or trial and real calls for a week.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best AI tool for a pool service company?

For the office work of a small pool company, our top pick is Dooza Crew (our product): AI employees with their own computer and browser for jobs such as supplier price checks, hiring techs and filling forms, $49 a month for the whole organization after a 7-day free trial, and it asks before it sends anything. For pool route software with AI, look at Skimmer, Pool Brain, Pool Office Manager or Jobber. For answering calls, look at Skimmer AI Phone, Smith.ai, Rosie, Goodcall or Dialzara.

Can AI answer my phone while I am on a route?

AI call answering tools take messages, answer common questions and book into a calendar around the clock. Skimmer sells AI Phone as a $99 a month add-on for its subscribers, Jobber sells an AI Receptionist add-on, and Smith.ai, Rosie, Goodcall and Dialzara are general AI receptionists. Test with real calls, including a green-pool panic or a pump failure, before you trust the after-hours line.

How much do AI tools for pool service cost?

Prices we read on October 26, 2026: Skimmer starts at $49 a month and its AI Phone add-on is $99 a month; Pool Office Manager is $125 a month for the first user and $25 for each additional user; Pool Brain shows $65 per tech; Jobber Core is $21 a month for the first 12 months, then $29, and its AI Receptionist add-on is $29 a month; Rosie starts at $49 a month; Goodcall at $79; Dialzara at $29. Dooza Crew is $49 a month for the whole organization.

Does Dooza Crew work with Skimmer, Pool Brain or Pool Office Manager?

No. We claim no integration with any pool software, and none is certified. Crew agents work in web-based tools you log in to with a browser, so ask in the free trial whether your software works that way. Crew does not test water or dose chemicals; safety and chemical decisions stay with the tech.

Is there a free AI receptionist for a pool company?

Smith.ai AI Receptionist has a free plan with 25 calls a month and $3.00 per call after that. Goodcall offers a free demo agent, Rosie and Dialzara have 7-day free trials, and Skimmer offers its Scaling Up plan free for 1 month. Skimmer's AI Phone page says you get 30 days for free, for active Skimmer subscribers.

Do pool owners trust AI with billing?

Often not. Skimmer's 2026 State of Pool Service Report, quoted in a Skimmer article, says "Forty percent of owners say they'd never trust AI to fully handle invoicing and payments." Skimmer sells pool software, and the article does not state the sample size. That is why we favor tools that ask before they send or pay.

Try Dooza Crew
