Checked October 26, 2026. Prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page. Several (Lofty, Ylopo, Rechat) do not publish prices; we say so. Prices change: re-check before you buy. Dooza Crew is our product and our top pick for solo agents and small teams; we say why, and where the others fit better.

Best AI tools for real estate agents: the short answer

Our top pick for a solo agent or small brokerage is Dooza Crew: AI employees that handle the busywork around your deals, $49 a month for the whole organization, and it asks before it sends anything. For a CRM with AI built in, look at Follow Up Boss (published prices, 14-day trial) or Lofty and Ylopo (prices on request). For listing descriptions and emails, Claude has a free plan. For virtual staging, Virtual Staging AI. For call notes, Fathom is free. For answering the phone, Dialzara or Smith.ai.

How real estate agents use AI in 2026

The National Association of REALTORS® asks members about technology every year. Its REALTORS® Technology Report says "Twenty-three percent of REALTORS® reported using AI tools daily in their business activities." The main use is writing: "The top AI use case among REALTORS® is writing listing descriptions, cited by 75% of AI users." Marketing and follow-up come next: "Fifty-six percent of REALTORS® use AI to create social media posts", and "Fifty-two percent of REALTORS® use AI to draft emails and follow-up communications."

Most agents who use it like it: "Fifty-five percent of respondents said AI has had a positive effect on their real estate business." And the reason they adopt any tool is time: 81% said they embrace new technology mainly to improve efficiency and productivity. So the list below is sorted by job: the busywork around deals, the CRM, writing, photos, meetings and the phone.

The tools, one by one

1. Dooza Crew (our product, top pick): AI employees for the busywork around your deals

Crew gives a solo agent or a small brokerage AI employees, each with its own computer and browser and its own job. They work around the clock, work with you and your team in one chat, and pass work to each other. Before one sends an email or clicks Send, Submit or Pay, it asks you to Approve, Edit or Reject. It works in the web-based tools you already log in to with a browser, and you type your passwords and 2FA codes yourself.

Some jobs you could give it:

  • You could give one agent the job of drafting a reply to every new web lead within minutes, for you to approve, and logging the lead in the CRM you already use in your browser.
  • You could give one agent the job of keeping a checklist per deal and drafting a reminder to the buyer, lender or other agent when a date is coming up or a document is missing.
  • You could give one agent the job of filling the fillable PDF, Word or Excel forms you upload (scanned PDFs without form fields cannot be filled), so you only review and sign.
  • You could give one agent the job of answering calls about a listing while you are in a showing. Crew agents take phone calls too, included in the plan.
  • Price: free for 7 days (card required), then $49 a month for the whole organization (unlimited users and agents), AI usage included with a hard spending cap. At the cap it pauses and tells you.
  • Watch for: no real estate software is certified or integrated: no MLS, CRM or transaction platform, so it works in your browser with your login, and you should test yours during the trial. It is not a licensed agent or broker: advice, negotiation, contract terms and anything your license covers stay with you.

2. Follow Up Boss: the CRM with AI built in

Follow Up Boss is a CRM many agents and teams already use. Its pitch: "AI that works for you, like you", "Built directly into FUB, where you already work." The Pro and Platform plans list "AI features like smart summaries, smart messages, suggested tasks, and predictive lead prioritization".

3. Lofty: an agentic AI CRM with a virtual ISA

Lofty calls itself a "productivity platform for real estate, powered by Agentic AI". Its Sales Agent is "Your very own virtual ISA, working 24/7 to capture and convert more leads into appointments." The plan table lists AI task prioritization, custom AI agents, scheduled AI tasks and AI lead scoring.

  • Price: not published: every plan says "Request Pricing". The only figure on the page: without an IDX site, seller lead generation needs a Home Evaluation Page at $70/month, and lead generation requires a 20% ad management fee.
  • Watch for: the Sales, Social and Homeowner agents are add-ons, and you need a sales call to learn what you will pay.

4. Ylopo: AI lead nurture and ads

Ylopo builds a branded home-search site, runs buyer and seller lead generation and puts "AI text nurture on every lead". On a demo you can watch "Ylopo AI (AI text + voice) qualify leads live".

  • Price: not published. Ylopo says "we only charge based on database size, not seats." You get a number from its ROI calculator or a demo.
  • Watch for: ad spend comes on top (the calculator's example uses $3,000 a month), and the ROI figures on the page are customer testimonials, not independent results.

5. Rechat: a brokerage platform with an AI assistant

Rechat calls itself "The AI Operating System for Real Estate." Its assistant, Lucy, is "Your AI assistant that writes replies, creates marketing content, and works ahead for you." You can ask Lucy to draft emails, create campaigns and manage listings, or talk to it like a voice message when you are on the move.

  • Price: not published; you request a demo.
  • Watch for: it is sold to brokerages and enterprise, so a solo agent may find it more platform than needed.

6. Claude: listing descriptions, emails and social posts

Since listing descriptions are the top AI use among REALTORS®, a general AI assistant is the cheapest place to start. Claude drafts listing descriptions, follow-up emails and social posts from your notes, on the web, desktop and mobile.

  • Price: Free "$0 Free for everyone"; Pro $17 a month with the annual discount ($200 billed up front) or $20 billed monthly; Max "From $100 Per month"; Team standard seats $20 per seat a month billed annually, $25 monthly.
  • Watch for: it is not connected to your MLS or CRM, so check every fact against the listing and keep the wording fair-housing compliant. (ChatGPT works for the same job; its pricing page blocked our check, so we do not quote it.)

7. Virtual Staging AI: staged photos in seconds

Virtual Staging AI promises "Virtual Staging with one click | 10 sec turnaround", with all room types and styles and furniture removal included.

  • Price (yearly billing): Basic 6 photos a month at $16/mo (billed as $192 yearly); Standard, "For agents", 20 photos at $19 a month ($228 yearly); Professional 60 photos at $39 ($468 yearly); Enterprise 150 photos at $79.
  • Free trial: each plan lists a "Free image editing trial included"; we found no free staging plan.
  • Watch for: the headline prices are for yearly billing; the page says yearly saves up to 50%, so monthly costs more. Check your MLS rules on disclosing virtually staged photos.

8. Fathom: free AI notes for client calls

Fathom records and transcribes calls with "Instant AI call summaries", handy after a buyer consultation or a listing presentation on Zoom. Premium adds AI-generated action items.

  • Price: Free forever; Premium $20/mo per user ($16/mo billed annually); Team $19/mo per user ($15 annually, 2-user minimum); Business $34/mo per user ($25 annually) (Fathom pricing).
  • Watch for: it covers video calls, not showings in person, and the pricing page names no real estate CRM link.

9. Dialzara: a low-cost AI receptionist

Dialzara offers "AI receptionist plans from $29/month — plus outbound voice, SMS, and website chat add-ons", so a caller about a sign in a yard gets an answer while you are with a client.

  • Price: Business Lite $29/month for up to 60 minutes ($0.48/min overage); Business Pro $99/month for 220 minutes ($0.45/min); Business Plus $199/month for 500 minutes ($0.40/min); Business Elite $349/month for 1000 minutes ($0.35/min). "No contract. Cancel anytime."
  • Free trial: 7-day free trial.
  • Watch for: it is priced by minutes, and overage adds up in a busy spring market.

10. Smith.ai AI Receptionist: free tier, then per call

Smith.ai's AI Receptionist offers "24/7 AI call answering", recording, transcription and summaries, lead qualification and call routing, and AI scheduling with Calendly and others.

  • Price: Free "$0 mo 25 calls/mo ($3.00/call after that)"; Pro $150/mo at $2.00 per call (75 calls a month); Enterprise $500/mo at $1.67 per call.
  • Watch for: it is priced per call. Smith.ai's live human receptionists are a separate, pricier product (Starter $300 a month for 30 calls).

  • Listing copy and emails: Claude's free plan.
  • Call notes: Fathom's free forever plan.
  • Phones: Smith.ai AI Receptionist free plan, 25 calls a month.
  • Trials: Follow Up Boss 14 days, Dialzara 7 days, Dooza Crew 7 days (card required).

How to choose an AI tool as an agent

  1. Start with the job that eats your week. Lead follow-up, listing copy, photos, deal paperwork or missed calls. Pick one tool for that job first.
  2. Check your CRM before adding another. If you already pay for Follow Up Boss, Lofty or a brokerage platform, try its AI features before buying a second CRM.
  3. Do the math per seat, per lead or per call. Follow Up Boss charges per user, Ylopo by database size, Dialzara by minutes, Smith.ai by call, and Dooza Crew a flat $49 for the whole organization.
  4. Keep the human sign-off. Pick tools that ask before they send, and keep advice, negotiation and contract decisions with you and your broker.
  5. Check fair housing and MLS rules. Read AI-written listing copy before it goes live, and disclose virtually staged photos where your MLS requires it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best AI tool for real estate agents?

For a solo agent or small team, our top pick is Dooza Crew (our product): AI employees for the busywork, such as lead follow-up drafts, showing requests and transaction paperwork, each with its own computer and browser, for $49 a month for the whole organization after a 7-day free trial. It asks before it sends anything. If you need a CRM with AI built in, look at Follow Up Boss; for listing copy, Claude has a free plan; for virtual staging, Virtual Staging AI; for answering calls, Dialzara or Smith.ai.

How many realtors use AI?

According to NAR's REALTORS® Technology Report, 23% of REALTORS® use AI tools daily in their business, and 55% of respondents said AI has had a positive effect on their real estate business. The top use is writing listing descriptions, cited by 75% of AI users.

Can AI write my listing descriptions?

Yes, and it is the most common use. A general assistant such as Claude (free plan, or Pro at $20 a month billed monthly) drafts listing descriptions, emails and social posts. Rechat's Lucy also creates marketing content inside its platform. Check every fact against the listing and keep the wording fair-housing compliant: the AI does not know your MLS rules.

What does AI virtual staging cost?

Virtual Staging AI lists Basic at $16 a month with yearly billing for 6 photos a month, Standard at $19 for 20 photos and Professional at $39 for 60 photos, with furniture removal included. Those are yearly-billing prices; paying monthly costs more.

Is there a free AI tool for real estate agents?

Yes. Claude has a free plan for drafting copy. Fathom has a free forever plan for call notes. Smith.ai's AI Receptionist has a free plan with 25 calls a month ($3.00 per call after that). For trials: Follow Up Boss 14 days, Dialzara 7 days, and Dooza Crew 7 days (card required).

Can AI replace my transaction coordinator or my license?

No. AI can draft, sort, fill fillable forms and remind you of dates, but advice to clients, negotiation, contract decisions and anything your license covers stay with you and your broker. Dooza Crew asks you to Approve, Edit or Reject before it sends an email or clicks Send, Submit or Pay.
