Manus vs Claude Cowork: the short answer
Both are AI agents you hand longer tasks to, and both start at $20 a month. Pick Manus if you want each task to run in its own virtual computer with a cloud browser, with scheduled automations and pay-by-credit pricing. Pick Claude Cowork if your work lives in files on your Mac or Windows computer and in your own logged-in browser, and you want to choose how often it asks for approval.

Manus
Each Manus task runs in what its docs call "a virtual computer with internet access", with a file system and the ability to install software. Its Cloud Browser visits sites, clicks, fills in forms and pulls data, and you can take over when a site asks for an SMS code, a CAPTCHA or MFA.
It also has scheduled automations, MCP connectors to your tools, a browser extension that uses your own logged-in sessions, and Mail Manus: you forward an email to a bot address and get the result back by email. Only "emails from pre-approved addresses can trigger Manus tasks".
Before you buy: the cloud browser "operates from data center IP addresses, not residential IPs", so some sites may flag it.
Claude Cowork
Cowork is the agent mode in Claude, and the pricing page now says "Claude Cowork is now just Claude." It is "available to paid Claude plans (Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise) only."
Before you buy: for local files, browser use and computer use you need "The Claude Desktop app for macOS or Windows, open and connected." Anthropic is also candid that its prompt injection safeguards "cannot eliminate" the risk.
Pricing
Manus pricing (October 22, 2026): $20 a month for 4,000 credits, $40 for 8,000 and $200 for 40,000, or $17, $34 and $167 a month billed yearly. Every plan adds 300 refresh credits a day and allows 20 concurrent and 20 scheduled tasks. Manus Team starts at $20 per seat per month, with credits shared across seats. Manus does not publish a fixed credit cost per task, so its bill depends on how big each job is.
Claude Cowork (claude.com/pricing, October 22, 2026): not on the Free plan. Pro $20 a month billed monthly, or $17 a month billed annually. Max from $100 a month. Team, for 2 to 150 people: the premium seat, which includes Claude Code and Claude Cowork, is $125 a month billed monthly or $100 billed annually.

What if you run a small business?
Neither Manus nor Cowork offers phone calls on the pages we checked (Oct 22, 2026). A small business usually needs leads called back, appointments confirmed and customers answered on several channels, with staff able to see and approve the work.
That is what Dooza Crew does. A master agent creates a team of AI employees, each with its own computer, a real browser, a phone number and a card for purchases you approve. Your staff and AI employees work in one group chat, and nothing is sent or paid until a person you choose approves it. Free for 7 days, then $49 a month for your whole crew, with $20 of AI usage included.
