ChatGPT dots
OpenAI calls dots "remarkably capable, always-on agents built to handle everything". Each one is powered by GPT‑6 Astra, has its own cloud computer, connects to over 4,000 apps through plugins, and keeps working between conversations. You can open its computer at any time to inspect the work or take over, and set Custom Rules for what it can share, purchase or access.
Limits at launch, from OpenAI's help center: Pro dots are for users aged 18 and older outside the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK; a dot cannot initiate calls to you; you cannot give it its own standalone email address; and dots are not supported on mobile web.
Meta Muse
Meta launched Muse on September 8, 2026. In Meta's words, "Muse is a personal AI agent." It "actually does the work" instead of only answering questions. On introducing.muse.ai, Meta says "Muse has its own computer, with a file system and a terminal" and "access to a full web browser". It checks in with you on critical actions, like writing an email or making a purchase.
Muse is the agent. Muse Spark is the Meta model that powers Meta AI and Muse. Muse Wonder is a newer model family that Meta says will soon power Muse. When people search "meta muse ai agent", they mean the agent.
Meta also offers Muse for Small Business. You can "Give Muse a goal" and connect tools like Shopify, Slack, Stripe, Intuit QuickBooks, Notion and Zoom. Meta says "nothing publishes, sends, or spends without your approval."
Before you buy: Muse is rolling out in the US on iOS, Android and muse.ai, and Meta's small business post says it is available in the US and Canada. We found no team or admin features on Meta's pages; it is a personal agent.
Pricing
- ChatGPT dots: no separate price. Your first dot is included in Pro ($100, $200 or $500 a month) or Business Premium ($100 per user a month billed annually, $125 monthly). Conversations with your dot don't count toward ChatGPT usage limits; tasks it starts in Codex or ChatGPT Work do.
- Meta Muse: Meta says it is "free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for people who want to do more." Meta's pages list no prices. TechCrunch reported Power at $20 a month and Maximum at $100 a month.
Which should you pick?
- Pick ChatGPT dots if you already pay for ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium, live outside the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, and want your agent inside ChatGPT, Slack and Teams.
- Pick Meta Muse if you are in the US or Canada, want to try a personal agent for free, and mostly work from your phone.
- Pick neither if you need an agent to phone your customers or to work with your whole team. Neither one, as far as we found, does that at launch.
What if you run a small business?
Dots and Muse are personal agents: they work in your apps on your behalf. Neither one, as far as we found, offers a phone line to call your customers at launch. If that is what you need, Dooza Crew gives you a team of AI employees, each with its own computer, a real browser, a phone number and a card for purchases you approve. Your staff and AI employees work in one group chat, and nothing is sent or paid until a person you choose approves it.
